Portrait collections start at $1,599. The average participant invests around $2,500.
We create heirloom-quality albums built to the same standard as fine wedding albums. Our wall art is printed on museum-quality materials and designed to be displayed — in your home, your office, or somewhere more intimate.
You'll view your portraits privately after your session. Your $149 session fee becomes additional print credit at that appointment.
Before you apply, please note: participants invest in portrait collections that typically range $2,500–$3,500. This is not a free or discount session. Women who apply understand and are comfortable with that.

This project is selective. Not every application is accepted. We review each one within 48 hours.
The most common thing clients tell us afterward: they weren't expecting to feel that comfortable.
We're Mike and Angi Fox — a married couple in our late 50s who have been photographing women in and around Houston together since 2012. We fell in love 40 years ago and still choose to do this work together, which probably tells you something about what it's like to be in the room with us.
We built this project because we kept meeting women who were strong, accomplished, and carrying on with their lives just fine — but hadn't felt beautiful in a while. Women who were ready to mark something. Celebrate something. Capture this version of themselves before the moment passed. We kept watching that change in a single afternoon, and we haven't stopped.
Angi works with you on wardrobe and posing and makes sure you feel like yourself throughout. Mike handles the light and the camera. Our makeup artist Amanda gets your session started. The studio is in our home in Pearland — the upstairs we converted after our kids grew up and moved out — and it's private. Small team, consistent faces, no one who doesn't need to be there.

The Process
Submit your application — A short form about your story and what's drawing you to this. No photo required — we select based on story and fit, not appearance.
Application review — We respond within 48 hours.
Consultation call — A quick conversation to answer your questions, talk through the session, and make sure this is a good fit.
Reserve your date — $149 session fee holds your spot and becomes print credit.
Your session — Professional makeup, 2+ hours, expert direction throughout.
Private viewing appointment — See your portraits and choose your collection.
Two cycles per year:
January–June sessions (August exhibition)
July–December sessions (February exhibition)

Angi & Mike Fox
We're in our 50s ourselves. We understand firsthand how bodies and perspectives shift over time, and how each milestone birthday brings a mix of emotions.
We meet women who feel like they've become background characters in their own lives. Maybe they've been "Mom" or "Grandma" for so long that being seen as the beautiful, vibrant soul they are feels like a distant memory.
With Over 40 & Fabulous, we help women see themselves clearly—and celebrate what they see.
We believe society's views on beauty are evolving, but there's still a long way to go. This project pushes those boundaries further, showcasing women over 40 as powerful, beautiful, successful, and unapologetically confident.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What if I'm nervous? Nearly every participant feels nervous, at least at the start. It doesn't need to go away immediately. What consistently happens is that it fades as the session progresses — we direct every pose from start to finish, so you're never left standing there wondering what to do. As Ms J described it: "As the shoot progressed, I felt more and more comfortable. I was surprised that I was so comfortable by the end."
What if I don't love how I look in photos? Professional lighting and posing direction do significant work. We also do a full retouch pass before your ordering appointment — temporary blemishes, strap marks, position creases — so what you're viewing is finished work, not raw files. During the session, Mike will hand the camera to Angi to show you what's been captured, so you're not waiting until the ordering appointment to get a sense of how things are going. In years of doing this project, we haven't had a participant who didn't find images she loved.
Can I keep my images private? Nothing is shared publicly without a signed release from you — and it's not all or nothing. You control exactly what's eligible to be shared: specific looks, nothing showing nudity, only certain images. The one exception built into the project is the single image you select for the magazine and exhibition. You choose that image. Everything else stays private unless you say otherwise. Online we never use names.
Do you offer payment plans? Yes. Payment plans are available for all portrait collections if you'd like to spread the cost.
What if I'm not sure I'm ready? Apply anyway. The consultation call is a conversation, not a commitment. If it's not the right time, you'll know after talking with us.
